Plan Comes together for Baldrick.

The Sunday Stableford was won this week by in-coming Sunday Society Captain Mr George Baldrick(19). Played in what can only be described as fearsome conditions Mr Baldrick was the player who coped best with the storm-force winds. 22/20 was the split of the score as Mr Baldrick won by the massive margin of six shots! In a distant second place was six-handicapper Mr Vincent Devenny. Birdies at the difficult par 4 2nd,”The Valley” and the par 4 6th,”The Gap” allowed Mr Devenny to post an outward nine of 22 points but he could only muster a further 14 on the closing holes to post his very credible, given the severe conditions, 36-point tally. Mr Martin Duddy(15) experienced the competition somewhat differently as he struggled to post 15 points on his outward nine but stormed back over the closing holes to add a further 20 points, finish on 35 points and take third spot only a point adrift from Mr Devenny. Mr James MacKay(2) posted the best gross of the day with his 32 point tally.
