Quizmaster Mr Pat Logue (26) had all the answers to the questions Greenkeeper Connor McLaughlin and his team had posed on a fast-running Prehen layout. Compiling a 18 point tally on the outward half, despite some tough bounces at six, seven and nine, Mr Logue set the tone for what was to follow over the closing nine where he added a further 21 points to win with a 39 point total. Mr Colin Jeffery (7) built on his good form of late to post the Best Gross Score of the day and, in doing so,  lift second prize with a 38 point total. Vice-Captain Mr Michael Carroll (22) showed that all his extensive warm weather training of previous weeks had not been wasted when he posted 37 points to claim 3rd overall on break-of –tie from six-handicapper Mr Stuart McClelland who had to be content with a fourth place finish.

The Thursday Open Series continues throughout the summer an visitors can take part of a very reasonable £15 fee by contacting Mr Sam Smallwoods to book a tee-time on 02871 311 496
