The Terence Bell Salver was hotly contested with some very good scoring for those who managed to keep their ball in play. The winner on the day was Richard Burton (15) with an excellent nett score of 66. Second place on his own was Andrew McFeely (14) on a score of 68, while Ron Grieve was the best of a 5 way break of tie, on a score of 69, to take third place. The best gross on the day was James Lindsay (1) with a gross score of 71. The visitors prize went to Arthur Bell (15), the brother of the late Terence Bell, in whose name the competition was played to commemorate an exceptional golfer. Arthur scored a nett 80 to clinch it over the other visiting players.
